Basic : Head Front

So your making your character but are kind of off on how to start the head, well you've headed to the right place. Your best friend in constructing a basic head is the sphere. Note: Females tend to have a heart shaped chin, I'll draw one soon.

Step 1.- Start out by drawing a cross where your head will be, then draw one big sphere, that will be the top part of the head, and a smaller, but not too small, sphere below it touching the bigger one, your chin and such.

Step 2.- Now draw somewhat of an upside down egg, oval type, to mark a bit more what will be the head.

Step 3.- Bring in those squares, triangles and rectangles to set where the nose, ear, eyes and lips will be.

Keep in mind the lips are right between the eyes. The ears start with the nose and end with the eyes. One eye should be aproximetly 1/4 of the face from side to side.

Step 4.- Just polish up your triangles, rectangles, squares, and such to what they should be. Females have a more heart shaped chin from the front.

Tips

2.)Keep it realistic.

3.)Draw light.

4.)Keep it clean.

5.)Follow the base skeleton.
